Remaining cooler with more storm chances
If you’re headed to Uncle Sam Jam Wednesday evening, it’s looking really nice! Most of the night is looking dry, but storm chances increase the later it gets.
Strong to severe storms are most likely on Wednesday in the western half of the state in the afternoon and evening.
Below is a video of what our StormCast weather model is showing for storm potential and timing on Wednesday.
Storms that form in western Nebraska will have the potential to drop a tornado or two.
Large hail in excess of two inches will be possible with the storms that do form in the west. Storms that can make it into central and eastern Nebraska will likely be the size of quarters or smaller.
Damaging wind will be possible for much of the state with the higher wind gust potential (+75 mph) in SW Nebraska.
High temperatures for most of us will be in the 80s with dew points in the 60s. It’ll be a bit muggy!
