There is a level 1 (Marginal Risk) and a level 2 (Slight Risk) for severe storms Friday afternoon and evening in eastern Nebraska.

Below is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing and duration. The window of opportunity for severe storms is around 3-7pm Friday.

There is a chance for some large hail, especially in the yellow shaded areas.

Damaging wind will also be a concern. Especially where you see the black hash marks where there is a 10% or greater probability of wind gusts 75 mph or greater.

The tornado threat is small for Nebraska, but you don’t have to go too far east to get a chance for one.
