Forecast for Sunday

We can expect a cool and rather blustery day on Sunday in and around Lincoln. Temperatures will try to climb into the middle 30s by the afternoon. Clouds and even a few flurries and light mixed precipitation will be around, but it won’t amount to much. However, a few slick spots can’t be ruled out.

We see a quiet start to the work week on Monday, but that will be short lived. A vigorous system will be churning its way into the central plains and we’ll see a rain/snow mix early on Tuesday before changing over to snow.  A few inches of snow is looking possible with this storm, but it will depend on how much rain we see before the change over to snow. More rain, less snow. Less rain, more snow. Freezing rain isn’t out of the question, either.

After that storm, we see lingering snow showers on Wednesday and then cold and dry for the rest of the week.
