Rollover crash on I-80 causes 15 cattle to escape, Nebraska sheriff says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The York County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating some cattle that got loose after a crash on I-80 early Friday morning.

The sheriff’s office said it was an injury accident but has yet to confirm if anyone was hurt.

According to a Facebook post, 15 cows escaped when a semitrailer-truck rolled over near mile marker 348. The truck was carrying 65 total cattle.

The area of the crash is now clear.

The cows were last seen in the area of Road 10 and Road H. If you see any of the cattle, you’re asked to contact the York County Sheriff’s Office at 402-362-4927.

The sheriff’s office is thanking Circle 5 out of Henderson and Kenny Real out of McCool Junction for helping corral and transport the remaining cattle.
