SBA announces available federal loans for businesses and organizations

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The US Small Business Administration announced the availability of loans for small businesses and private nonprofit organizations.

The low-interest federal disaster loans are for eligible organizations and businesses that were impacted by the drought. The drought started May 12.

The eligible counties in Nebraska are Clay, Fillmore, Franklin, Harlan, Jefferson, Kearney, Nuckolls, Phelps, Saline, Seward, Thayer, Webster and York.

There is up to $2 million in funding with interest rates as low as 4%. No interest or required payments mandatory during the first year.

Businesses, organizations, small agricultural cooperatives and nurseries and small aquaculture enterprises can apply at sba.gov/disaster by May 1, 2027.
