Scattered, light snow showers possible Wednesday while warming
The cold snap is now behind us. Warmer days are here.
Reflecting back, here are some of the minimum wind chills during the worst of the cold stretch from either Sunday night into Monday morning, or Monday night into Tuesday morning:
But the difference a day can make in Nebraska! Temperatures Wednesday morning already are so much warmer statewide. Look at the 24-hour temperature difference for everyone as of 5 a.m. Wednesday.
A disturbance moving through today will be responsible for more cloud cover and the chance for some very light snow.
Scattered snow showers will be possible throughout Wednesday, especially the second part of the day. We’ve seen events like this before; quick bursts of snow are possible with a reduction in visibility for a short time.
A quick dusting on some roads could make for some slick spots if you get caught in one of these today.
These snow showers and flurries will end for all by early Thursday.
Accumulations for those that see some of the light snow through Wednesday night will be around a trace to a few tenths of an inch.
