Seven bats in LIncoln test positive for rabies

A number of bats have tested positive for rabies in Nebraska, including seven in Lincoln.

The Nebraska Dept. of Health and Human Services tested them.

Bats are very active this time of year, which means the possibility of being exposed to rabies increases.

DHHS says to prevent any possible contact, keep vaccinations up to date for your pet and seek immediate treatment if you or your pet is bitten.
