Seven public pools in Lincoln to open on Monday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – It’s time to dust off the floaties: The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department announced that seven public pools will open on Monday.
Pools opening on Monday:
- University Place Aquatic Center
- Highlands Aquatic Center
- Arnold Pool
- Ballard Pool
- Eden Pool
- Irvingdale Pool
- Woods Pool
Belmont Pool won’t open until June 1, and Star City Shores won’t open its gates until June 5, according to officials.
“Our Parks and Recreation team is proud to provide Lincoln with healthy, safe, and vibrant aquatic facilities,” Director Maggie Stuckey-Ross said in a press release. “The staggered openings will allow us to certify and train newly hired lifeguards and staff to ensure a successful pool season.”
All pools will be open seven days a week from 1 to 6 p.m.
Beginning on June 5, family swim nights will be offered at the following pools:
- Monday: Belmont
- Tuesday: Eden
- Wednesday: Irvingdale
- Thursday: Ballard
- Friday: Arnold Heights and Woods
