Severe potential Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Storms are likely on and off throughout the next few days and storms that do get going will have the potential to be severe. Below is a video of what our latest StormCast model is saying we can expect for timing of the storms.
- FRIDAY
For Friday (picture below), things have changed quite a bit from earlier forecasts. The main area for storms is now projected to be in northern Nebraska where the Slight Risk (yellow) exists. There is a Marginal Risk along and north of I80 where a few scattered storm storms will be possible.
- SATURDAY
Saturday (severe risk is pictured below) continues to have a chance for severe storms in the afternoon with a line moving through eastern Nebraska into Iowa. Timing and severity will be better assessed after the storms tonight move through, then even better timing after the storms move through on Friday. For now, mid afternoon is the best estimate for storms in eastern Nebraska Saturday.
Storms are possible for the Huskers game Saturday, but the storms should roll through rather quick. Any storm delay would be short lived.
All of the storms will have the potential for large hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes.
