Severe storms Thursday night into Friday morning expected
There is a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH in place for parts of eastern Nebraska until 4:00am and parts of western Nebraska through 11:00pm Thursday, May 23, 2024.
More severe storms are possible in central and eastern Nebraska later tonight into the overnight.

Above is what the latest run of our StormCast model is saying for timing of the storms tonight.
A good portion of Nebraska has the chance at seeing a tornado tonight. The area shaded in the brown color has a little bit higher chance than the green shaded area.
Large hail is also a possibility. Those near the black hash marks have a good chance at seeing hail larger than 2″ in diameter. That’s the size of a lime.
Damaging wind is likely, as well. Those in the red shaded area with the hash marks may see wind gusts in excess of 75 mph.
