Severe Weather Monday Evening- September 22, 2025
Monday evening, A SLIGHT risk is in place for SE Nebraska including Lincoln and Omaha. Large hail up to ping pong ball size and damaging winds up to 65+ mph will be the main concerns. Storm timing looks to be 3pm- 11pm. Lincoln and Omaha could see the bulk of the storms near 5pm-6pm Monday.

A sunny Monday afternoon will set the stage for storms later in the day. Storms are expected to develop around 3-4 PM near Columbus, tracking south through Lincoln and Omaha by 6 PM. These storms will bring damaging winds over 65 mph and hail up to half-dollar size or larger.
Hail up to 1.50″+ ( Ping pong ball) will be possible with the first initial storms that develop in northeast Nebraska Monday afternoon and evening.
Winds up to 65-70+ mph will be likely with the storms in eastern Nebraska Monday evening and night.
Monday morning, temperatures a bit chilly out west in the lower 50s and pleasant off towards the east.
Monday afternoon, high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80s under mostly sunny skies and strong to severe storms Monday night.
Storms LIKELY Monday evening. After Wednesday, Fall looks to be showing itself! Temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s under lots of sunshine. We could be tracking our next system in early October.
