Severe Weather Watch: March 6, 2026
A TORNADO WATCH is in place for southeast Nebraska this Friday afternoon through 10pm Friday night. Hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes will be possible.

Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, location, and duration of the storm potential.
Storms that do get going may see hail in excess of 1″ in diameter.
An isolated tornado will also be possible, especially further southeast.
Damaging wind will also be an issue with storms that can get going through the late afternoon and evening.
Meanwhile, quite a bit of snow in western Nebraska and freezing drizzle or a rain/snow mix is possible in north central and northeast Nebraska. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for this.
