Shelley and Huskers cruise past Wisconsin

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – After 15 days away Nebraska women’s basketball returned to Pinnacle Bank Arena to play host to Wisconsin in a 82-54 defeat over the Badgers on Wednesday night.

The Huskers were led by guard Jaz Shelley who erupted for 31 points and four assists to lead three Huskers in double figures.

Shelley’s dominant performance started in the first quarter where she posted 13 points capped off by a a half-court buzzer-beater.

In addition to Shelley’s huge performance, Nebraska got 13 points and five rebounds from Allison Weidner. The sophomore guard scored her 13 points on just seven field goal attempts.

The Huskers continue regular season action on Saturday hosting Samford at 6 p.m.
