Shots fired at FSU

Breaking overnight, a gunman opens fire at Florida State University in Tallahassee.

Students received a telephone alert urging them to take shelter after shots were fired near Strozier Library on campus.

It happened just after midnight, students had barricaded themselves inside for an hour while police engaged the gunman. They say the suspect shot and wounded at least three people. Police say three victims were taken to the hospital, at least one person is in critical condition, and another in stable condition.

Police returned fire, shooting and killing the gunman.The gunman’s identity hasn’t been released.
