Soggy start to the week 11/9/2020

Temperatures are on the mild side this Monday morning with most of southeast Nebraska in the upper 50s and low 60s. A few scattered thunderstorms are also already starting to move through the region ahead of a cold front. This front will result in more thunderstorms and showers throughout the day leaving us with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will warm up to the upper 60s though with blustery winds out of the south in the morning slowly calming throughout the day. Overnight into tomorrow morning we will gradually see the rain transition to a wintry mix and eventually snow.

  • TODAY: A cold front pushes southward throughout the day resulting in scattered thunderstorms and blustery conditions. Wind gusts will peak in the morning around 40 mph and then calm throughout the day. HIGH: 68
  • TUESDAY: A wintry mix is likely in the forecast for early in the morning. Freezing rain is possible around sunrise before we see a transition to snow lasting until the afternoon. HIGH: 40
  • WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies with highs back in the low 50s. HIGH: 52
  • THURSDAY: Clouds increase a bit and temperatures drop back to the 40s. HIGH: 46
  • FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies with highs in the 50s and rain overnight.
