Spot showers and storms into the weekend
A few showers and storms will be possible on and off on Friday. Most of the day is looking dry.
We’ll be below average for highs on Friday, but only by a few degrees. We should be near 80 this time of year.
If we do see rain, it would be spotty at best and generally less than a quarter of an inch.
We do need more rain, too. The latest Drought Monitor has improvements vs last week, but most of Nebraska is in the Moderate to Severe Drought range. A spot over Antelope county remains in the Extreme Drought range.
A few more storms are possible Saturday, then dry and mild for much of next week. There are only small chances for rain late next week.
