Starting 2026 with temperatures near normal
If you are headed out for a New Year’s celebration tonight, temperatures in Lincoln will be near the freezing mark at midnight with a partly cloudy sky.
The wind will be light, so no wind chills to worry about!
Quiet and cool for the rest of the state at midnight, as well. Happy New Year, everyone!
The first day of 2026 will be near normal in eastern Nebraska with some added cloud cover, but with more sunshine to the west, it’ll be much warmer.
One more day with cloud cover in eastern Nebraska on Friday with just a small rain/mix chance, then we warm back up heading into the weekend.
That small rain/mix chance will be Friday afternoon in eastern Nebraska. It won’t amount to much.
After a cool couple of days, it’s going to be VERY mild through the weekend and into next week. A warm start to 2026!
