Storm chance Thursday into Friday, heavy rain possible
Storms will be possible on and off for the next several day with heavy rain a possibility through Friday. The unsettled weather pattern continues into early next week. Temperatures start to really warm up early next week, as well.
Storms are possible tonight in western Nebraska, but they won’t make it much further than North Platte and McCook before fading away after sunset.
With added cloud cover and precipitation potential, highs on Thursday will be a little cooler than average.

While widespread severe weather is not likely on Thursday, but there is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for a few strong to severe storms.
Heavy rain is the most likely issue for Thursday. A couple of inches of rain will be possible.
With the heavy rain potential, the Storm Prediction Center has eastern Nebraska is a low risk for excessive rainfall and SE Nebraska in a medium risk for excessive rainfall.

Rain chances will be out there Thursday afternoon and evening, then into early Friday. Storms will also be possible on and off Friday.
