Storm chances and lots of heat headed our way
After a mild start to the week, we start to warm up on Tuesday with highs nearing 90 degrees. By Wednesday and Thursday, we’ll start seeing highs very close to the triple digits! Storms chances are out there for Wednesday and Thursday, but weather models are not in agreement for timing and placement, so we’ll keep an eye on that for now.
We’ll be a handful of degrees above average on Tuesday with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
Our high temperatures on Wednesday will be much warmer. Highs for everyone will be pushing into the middle 90s.
The heat continues on Thursday with highs nearing the upper 90s to around 100 for some.
The dew point will be something to watch, as well. With temperatures in the 90s, any dew point above 60 degrees will add a little to the heat index. Take it easy if you need to be outside for too long!
Along with the heat, there will be shower and thunderstorm chances, as well. The best chance for now looks to be on Wednesday and Thursday.
