Storm chances increase heading into the weekend
After a seasonably cool Thursday, the cool air lingers into the weekend and the chance for showers and storms moves in.
A chilly start to Thursday with temperatures in the lower 40s. We’ll warm up, but will fall short of the average high, which is in the upper 70s.
The northeastern half of the state will be cooler than the southwestern half. 60s for the northeast, 70s for the southwest.
The next chance for rain comes our way Friday morning into the early afternoon.
The chance for storms increases as we head into the weekend. Especially Saturday and Sunday. There’s a chance for rain on Memorial Day.
