Storm chances tonight and Wednesday
Scattered showers and storms are likely for the western half of the state tonight, then the eastern half of the state Wednesday afternoon and evening. Very small chances for storms are there for Thursday through Saturday, with a little bit better chance on Sunday. On Saturday, we may see 90s in Nebraska!
Storms will be rolling across the western half on Nebraska this evening and a couple of strong storms are possible. Because of this, there is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe weather.
Our StormCast models have the storms diminishing after sunset, but north central and SW Nebraska may see some lingering storms.
On Wednesday, the chance for strong storms pushes into eastern Nebraska, mainly in the late afternoon and evening.
There isn’t a lot of organization with this storm chance, but one or two may produce some gusty wind and hail.
Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower to mid 70s with a southeast breeze.
We start to warm up on Friday with highs well into the 80s. There’s a small chance for storms on Thursday.
