Storm Potential: April 1-2, 2025
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in place through 3:00am for much of south central and SE Nebraska. Large hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes are possible.

And we would love to see video of any storm footage you may get (safely!). You can upload that using our Now Local News App HERE.
There is a Level 1-2 (Marginal to Slight Risk) for severe weather for much of Nebraska. There is a Level 3 (Enhanced Risk) into Kansas and Oklahoma.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, location, and duration of the storms.
As you can see from the video above, the further south you go, the better chance you will have for severe storms. Especially into SE Nebraska and Kansas.
An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out completely. It’s a small chance, but there’s still a small chance for a spin up tornado with any storm that does form. Even though it’s chilly out!
Hail is possible with any storm, as well. Most will be no bigger than quarters, but that can still do some damage.
Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph are possible, as well.
Heavy rainfall will be very dependent on where the thunderstorms line up. Overall, a quarter inch is possible, with higher amounts further south and east.
As we move into Wednesday, we quiet down with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Highs will be near normal.
More rain chances come our way by the end of the week.
