Storms and cooler air headed our way
Most of Thursday in going to be dry, warm, and humid in eastern Nebraska, but a frontal boundary is headed our way.
Our latest StormCast weather model (below) is showing the timing and location for storms on Thursday.
These storms have just enough to work with that a couple of the storm cells may become severe. Because of that, we are in a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms.
Damaging wind will be the main concern as the storms move from west to east.
Hail may also be an issue, as well. Hail stones around 1″ in diameter is the most likely possibility.
The tornado threat is small, but not zero. The better chance for a spin up tornado will be to the northeast.
On the plus side, some much needed rain will be possible with these storms!
It will be warm and muggy before the storms get here, though. Highs will generally be in the 90s Thursday afternoon.
After Thursday, we cool off and see a fantastic Friday. Saturday won’t be too bad, either. #GBR!
