Storms and cooler air on the way
Storms are going to be possible as we head through Friday evening, some of them could be strong to severe. Showers and weaker storms will be possible on Saturday before we dry out for a while. Temperatures are going to be almost chilly on Saturday before we warm back up through next week.
Cooler on Friday, but still well above average for the high. Our normal high is 64!
Most of us will be in the 70s and 80s on Friday, but a cold front will sweep through the 2nd half of the day cooling all of us off quickly. It will also bring a storm chance.
The best chance for storms in SE Nebraska will be after 5pm. Strong to severe storms will be possible.
Storms will start to initiate after 5pm and should be at their peak around sunset. Large hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns.
Because of the severe weather risk Friday evening, there is a Marginal to Slight Risk (levels 1 and 2) for severe storms in south central and southeast Nebraska. Large hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns.
