Storms expected again tonight

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for North Central and Northwest Nebraska through 2:00 am Friday. Large hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns. Tornado Watch continues through 9:00 pm MDT for the panhandle.

Large hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns in the Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

Storms are going to be possible early Friday, then again Friday night into Saturday. We’ll catch a break from the storm chances Sunday and Monday, but the chance comes back just in time for the 4th of July. Temperatures will cool off a bit through the weekend, but the 90s come back next week.

There is a Slight Risk for severe weather across much of the southern half of Nebraska. Storms are expected overnight Thursday into early Friday.

The best chance for rain in Lincoln will be in the 3am to 5am timeframe. Some severe weather is possible with damaging wind and large hail possible.
