Rainy Monday morning, Sunshine returns by afternoon
Monday, there is another MARGINAL risk for severe weather is in place for western Nebraska. Main threats will be quarter size hail and winds up to 60+ mph.
Overnight tonight, isolated showers and storms will move into eastern Nebraska and move SSE into early Monday morning. Your Monday morning commute could be rainy and stormy along and north of I-80. Showers will linger into 1:00PM then Sunshine will be out for the remainder of the afternoon with more isolated storm development out west Monday evening.
Here’s a look at some of the morning rainfall reports out of northeast Nebraska August 3, 2025. Totals ranged from 3.00” to over 5.00”+ near Plainview and Bloomfield. A few FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS were also issued around 4:30 AM for parts of Knox, Pierce, and Cedar counties.
Another pleasant night ahead for most of us! Temperatures will dip into the upper 50s and low 60s, with showers and thunderstorms moving in Monday morning.
Monday afternoon will feel beautiful, with high temperatures holding in the 70s and low 80s. Sunshine will gradually return as the day goes on. Temperatures will differ due to morning rain and cloud cover.
