Summer has arrived a little early
A toasty day is expected on Wednesday. Highs will be in the lower and middle 90s!
The humidity is starting to increase a little bit, but should be low enough that we won’t have a heat index to worry about.
We’ll start the day in the middle and upper 60s but quickly warm up into the 90s by noon.
It won’t be too windy, either. We’ll see sustained winds at 5 to 15 mph with wind gusts pushing 20 mph.
There is a small severe weather chance Wednesday in northeast Nebraska.
Storms will try to form in the late afternoon and early evening. Below you can see what our StormCast model is saying things will look like around 7pm.
More storms are possible on Thursday with just about the entire state seeing a chance for some severe storms. There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” in place.
Storms will move from west to east Thursday afternoon into the evening with hail and damaging wind being the main concerns.
The heat continues all the way into next week with small storm chances Sunday through Wednesday.
