Sunny, Dry Conditions Continue Through Next Week

A passing cold front will bring the return of a northerly breeze on Sunday. Mostly sunny skies look to continue through the end of the weekend, with afternoon highs a touch below average for early October.

Short-range runs of StormCast continue to show dry conditions across the state with minimal chances of precipitation.

Mostly clear skies are expected statewide heading into Sunday morning. Low temperatures will range from the lower 40s to the lower 50s.

Even with winds shifting to be more northerly tonight, temperatures in Lincoln will be above average for this time of year. Our lows usually fall to the upper 40s this time of year.

Df State Tomorrow High

High pressure drifts into the region behind the front, bringing sunny conditions once again. Sunday afternoon temperatures will reach the upper 60s to lower 80s.

A pleasant afternoon closes out the weekend in the Capital City, with temperatures reaching the lower 70s.

Temperatures statewide will slowly build for most of the start of the work week. Warmer temperatures are expected to creep east in by midweek.

We look to remain dry through the week ahead with afternoon temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Long-range models bring a system across the western half of the United States towards the middle of October. Specific timing will likely shift a little, with this being our next best chance at precipitation.
