Sunshine Returns, Crisp Fall Weather Friday
Great fall weather on tap for Friday afternoon in southeast Nebraska! We will see mostly sunny skies through the day alongside a northeasterly breeze.
High pressure continues to keep skies clear across the state, with afternoon temperatures ranging from the lower to middle 60s in eastern Nebraska to the 70s and 80s out west.
We are looking at fantastic weather this afternoon in Lincoln, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle 60s.
Temperatures plunge into the 40s again on Friday night and into early Saturday. Lows across the state are expected to fall to the middle 40s and 50s.
Take the jacket with you to any high school football games tonight in the Capital City. Temperatures will return to the middle 40s with a light easterly wind.
Winds return from the south on Saturday, which will raise high temperatures into the 70s for most of the state.
A great weekend ahead for anyone heading out to the Husker football game or the pumpkin patch!
A look ahead toward the middle of October leans toward below-average chances of precipitation statewide.
Pleasant temperatures and mostly sunny skies stick around through the long-term forecast. A few passing fronts are expected to move through the region; at the moment, we are expecting minimal impacts on temperatures and precipitation chances until late next week.
