Suspect arrested in Grand Island homicide investigation

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a suspect Thursday in connection with a Grand Island homicide investigation from earlier in the week.

Donald Anthony, 34, was taken into custody after the Nebraska State Patrol SWAT team found him barricaded in an attic crawlspace.

Anthony was arrested in connection with the murder of Said Abdullahi Farah, 30, who was found dead at an apartment complex on Tuesday.  Police say he had been stabbed in the neck.

The Grand Island police department obtained a search warrant for 1019 7th St in St. Paul, Neb.  NSP SWAT team was activated and eventually arrested Anthony.

He was handed over to the GIPD and is now in custody at the Hall County Department of Corrections.  He is booked for first-degree murder, use of a weapon during the commission of a felony, and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
