Teen found shot at Nebraska Walmart adds to weekend of violent attacks nationwide

Right now police are not saying if they've identified any suspects or if a possible gunman is still on the run

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) — The Grand Island Police Department says a teenager was found with a gunshot wound at a local Walmart over the weekend.

We’re told officers were responding to reported gunshots near the south Locust Street store on Saturday, when they discovered the injured 17-year-old.

Police tell us his wound does not appear to be life-threatening.

The Grand Island shooting comes on the same day that an attack at a Buffalo, New York grocery store killed at least 10 people and left several others injured.

We’re told the Grand Island shooting investigation remains ongoing this morning.

No word just yet on who shot the teen or if police have identified any suspects.
