Temperatures come crashing down
We got into the 80s for many spots in eastern Nebraska Monday! If you weren’t in the 80s, you were in the 70s for sure. Things will now change.
Colder air is on the way and after it arrives later Tuesday, we’ll see a chance for some snow. What an incredible change in weather in a short amount of time!
81 in Lincoln is a record high and the earliest Lincoln has seen 80+ degrees in recorded history!
Things change on Tuesday and winter starts to come back. The high will be late in the morning, then a cold front rolls through and cold air settles in.
Wind gusts will ramp up as the day progresses.
As the temperatures drop and the winds pick up, the wind chill will drop into the teens by Tuesday evening!
Highs on Tuesday will be in the 40s and 50s, but that will happen in the morning. It’ll be much colder by the afternoon.
Snow is going to follow the cold and front and while it won’t amount to much, it’s still incredible to think it was in the 80s one day and snow the next!
By Wednesday morning, it’s going to be COLD!
Factor in the wind and it’s going to be bitterly cold Wednesday morning.
After a very cold day on Wednesday, we start to warm up again on Thursday and beyond.
