Temperatures drop for your Monday 1/24/2022

We are off to a very mild start for the new work week this morning! Temperatures are currently hovering around the upper 30s and low 40s with mostly cloudy skies. This cloud coverage is acting as a blanket to help prevent us from cooling, but we will see a temperature drop later today. Highs will peak in the early afternoon hours with highs in the low to mid-40s and partly cloudy skies. Clouds won’t fully clear out until the evening hours and this is around the time when temperatures plunge. Colder air will push back into the state and this will take those 40s down into the 20s come the evening. Overnight low temperatures will drop into the single digits and skies will remain clear. Temperatures struggle to rebound tomorrow, and highs will only warm into the low to mid-20s as a result. Above average temperatures in the 30s and 40s return for the rest of the week and beyond.
