Temperatures return back above freezing today 2/4/2022

Nebraska is off to a little bit of a warmer start this morning with a mix of temperatures in the single digits and teens. Wind chill values aren’t close to -20 like yesterday, and instead are above -10 in southeast Nebraska. The warmer trend picks up even more into the afternoon and evening today as highs soar back above freezing. Most of the area will top out around the low to mid-30s with sunny skies and increasing wind speeds. The southerly wind this morning will eventually turn back out of the northwest with wind gusts around 30 mph. Temperatures remain seasonal overnight, in the low to mid-teens with clear skies. Wind speeds pick up again on Saturday and return out of the south, which boost up temperatures well above average into the low 50s. Breezy conditions hang around into Sunday, but temperatures cool down a bit into the upper 30s. This cooldown is short-lived though, as highs in the 50s return early next week.
