The heat continues into tomorrow

The Gulf of Mexico is currently preparing for a major hurricane, while a mini heat wave is blasting us in the Midwest. This heat is expected to stick around until the end of the week which means Nebraska is in for more warm nights and toasty days. Overnight tonight we will once again see temperatures dropping to the upper 60s and lower 70s with clear skies. Winds will pick up with temperatures tomorrow, eventually topping out with highs in the lower to mid-90s and southerly gusts up to 30mph. As we end the week, we will see a very slow drop in temperatures ahead of a cool front that will provide much needed heat relief into the weekend and several rain chances.
