The wind goes away for a day
Thursday was a windy day. Wind gusts across the state were in the 30 to 40 mph range for much of the day. Below shows the max wind gust for the day.
The wind, however, is going to disappear for a while. Friday will see very little wind and lots of sunshine.
Warmer weather is expected across the state on Friday. 60s to the east, 70s for most of the rest of the state, and maybe a few 80s in the panhandle.
Those 80s are headed 80s, too. Lincoln should get into the 80s on Saturday and Sunday before cooling off somewhat next week.
