Thief allegedly stole over $15,000 worth of Lancaster County fire department gear
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police are searching for a person who stole more than $15,000 in gear from a rural fire department in Lancaster County.
Police said the incident happened Saturday around 4 p.m. at a storage unit near N. 1st and W. Charleston streets.
The victim told police his lock was not in his unit when they arrived at the location.
LPD said $15,230 worth of Raymond Fire Department coats, pants and boots were taken. The thief also allegedly took seven antique knives worth around $175 and two Mossberg shotguns valued at $460.
