Three caught with meth, stolen car at Lincoln storage facility, deputy says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were found with meth and a stolen car at a southeast Lincoln storage facility on Saturday, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 1:30 p.m., deputies were sent to Sasquatch Self Storage near Nebraska Parkway and Yankee Hill Road.

A caller reported that someone was living inside one of the units, Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said Monday.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with 35-year-old Matthew Nicholas, who was renting the unit.

Two other people – Dana Culp, 26, and Tanner Dux, 34 – were also at the storage unit.

Houchin said a Lexus that had been reported stolen in Omaha was parked in front of the unit.

After a search of the vehicle and storage unit, deputies found meth and drug-related items, according to Houchin.

All three were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, Houchin said.

Culp and Dux were also arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and on outstanding warrants.
