Severe Thunderstorm Watch: April 15, 2024
A TORNADO WATCH has been issued for south central and SW Nebraska through 3:00am. Also, a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH has been issued for much of central and western Nebraska through 12am CDT. Additional watches are possible later tonight.
Large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes will be possible as storms move through the watch area this evening.
There is a 2-10% chance for tornadoes with the highest risk in the yellow shaded area. Black lines in the tornado outlook mean +10% probability of EF2 – EF5 tornadoes within 25 miles of a point.
Large hail is also a possibility. The black lines mean +10% probability of +2″ hail within 25 miles of a point.
Damaging wind is also a possibility with the highest risk in the red shaded 30% area. Wind in excess of 80 mph are possible in this area.
