LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Tickets went on sale Thursday for the Lincoln Children’s Zoo’s annual holiday event, Zoo Lights by Lincoln Electric System.

From Nov. 25 to Dec. 30, the zoo will be transformed into one of the largest light displays in the Midwest.

The display includes a 40-foot Christmas tree, over 30 lit animal silhouettes, three light shows choreographed to holiday music, holiday train rides, a 60-foot light tunnel and more.

Guests can also stop by the s’mores and hot chocolate station for tasty holiday treats.

The zoo said there will be new light experiences this year.

The event will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. every night except Dec. 24 and 25.  Tickets will be sold for specific time slots, so purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended.

Proceeds from Zoo Lights Powered by LES directly support the zoo and its animals in the winter months.
