Tractor vs Semi: One taken to hospital via StarCare, injuries unknown.
UNADILLA, Neb. (KLKN) — A semi-truck decimated a tractor on Hwy 2 near Unadilla when they collided Thursday evening.
Both vehicles were traveling westbound down the highway. The Otoe County Sheriff told our on scene reporter that the semi, traveling at 70 mph, did not see the tractor, traveling at 30 mph. The semi then rear-ended the tractor, ejecting the driver.
The tractor driver was taken to Bryan Hospital via StarCare, a medical helicopter. His injuries are unknown at this time, but the Sheriff said he was alert and breathing upon their arrival.
The semi-truck had the driver, plus one passenger. Both refused medical attention.
Currently, all westbound traffic on Hwy 2 has been closed down for at least two hours.
This is a developing story and we will bring you more details as they become available.
