Traffic stop due to no headlights leads to drug arrest in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Neb. (KLKN) — Yesterday, Norfolk Police Division (NPD) made an arrest regarding drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop.

Around 12:05 a.m. on Sept. 13, NPD conducted a traffic stop after observing a Suzuki Esteem traveling without headlights.

The driver, Joseph Beyer, 44, admitted to having marijuana and a THC wax pen in his car.

Officers conducted a search on the vehicle and found the drug paraphernalia, along with a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine. They also found three clear bags containing multiple grams of methamphetamine.

Beyer was arrested and lodged for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession or use of drug paraphernalia.
