LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating after thieves stole over $3,000 worth of routers from Best Buy in Lincoln.

Around 2:40 p.m., three men in dark clothes entered the store near 70th and O Streets and grabbed several Wi-Fi routers.

The trio ran out of the store and drove off in a silver Ford Explorer, which was last seen heading east on O Street, police said.

Police estimate the routers are worth around $3,229.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.

In April, two men stole $1,000 worth of routers from Best Buy.  And a month later, police reported that two men ran off with $1,200 in routers from the same store.

In both thefts, the crooks were seen leaving in a gold Honda CRV.  It is unknown if these cases are related.
