On Dec. 31, court documents say Wallace, Hampton and another female went in his backyard near 26th and Blondo streets to shoot a gun.
Police said they think it was to celebrate the new year.
Hampton tried to fire into the ground, according to an arrest affidavit, but instead pulled the trigger while it was pointed toward a home.
The bullet went into the house and hit a 6-year-old girl in the thigh, police said.
She was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Investigators said they found a rifle in Wallace’s home that matched the bullet that hit the girl.
A judge set Hampton’s bond at $100,000 and Wallace’s at $20,000.
They are due back in court Feb. 4.
