Two Arrested for Murdock Murders

Some shocking news coming out of Cass County tonight. Two men have been arrested for the shooting deaths of wayne and sharmon stock of murdock. The suspects are, 28-year-old Matthew Livers of Lincoln and 22-year-old Nicholas Sampson of Palmyra. They were arrested last night. Livers is the nephew of the Stokes.

It was only two weeks ago the town of Murdock was turned upside down when the couple was found shot death in their home. After rumors and speculation the Cass County Sheriff's Office says while they don't have a motive they are confident they have their suspects. For the last few weeks the situation in Murdock has played out like a murder mystery.

As Sheriff deputies collected evidence, questioned the town, and followed
leads, trying to determine who killed Wayne and Sharmon Stock. Leads that Sheriff's deputies say led to the arrests of the couple's nephew 28-year-old Matthew Livers and his cousin 22-year-old Nicholas Sampson.. The news is coming as a shock to family.

Deputies arrested the men after they searched their home and cars seizing weapons and collected at least one shotgun. They say combined with evidence at the home. They are confident in their investigation. Despite that, the Cass County Sheriff's deputy says their taking things
carefully.

Despite the arrests, Sherriff's deputies say they continue to investigate to
determine if anyone else was involved. Again, Sheriff's deputies aren't sure why the men did it.
For now the two remain in Cass County jail arrested on two counts of
first degree murder.
