Two caught with 17 credit cards, embossing machine in car west of Lincoln, sheriff says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several credit cards and an embossing machine were found Monday in a vehicle west of Lincoln, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.
Around 1 p.m., a deputy with the criminal interdiction unit pulled over a vehicle that was speeding on Interstate 80.
Sheriff Terry Wagner said the deputy smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and began a search.
Inside, deputies found marijuana, a laptop, an embossing machine, a magnetic strip encoder and 17 credit and debit cards.
Deputies then arrested Creshawna Thomas, 26, and Kameron Locklear, 25, on suspicion of possessing a financial transaction device.
Wagner said he is unsure if the cards were stolen or fabricated. An investigation is ongoing.
