Two injured in boating accident while tubing at southwest Nebraska lake
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two people were injured in a boating accident Sunday at a southwest Nebraska lake.
Around 4:30 p.m., three people were tubing at Medicine Creek State Recreation Area near Cambridge.
According to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, the boat pulling the tube collided with another boat that was tied in place.
A 45-year-old man from Indianola suffered severe injuries to his head, back and pelvis and was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Officials said he is stable.
A 13-year-old boy from Danbury was also taken to the hospital in Kearney for treatment of injuries to both his legs.
According to officials, the third person did not require any medical attention.
The crash is under investigation.
