Two missing Omaha inmates caught in Arizona, officials say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two inmates who went missing from an Omaha facility last month were caught red-handed Monday in Arizona, officials say.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said Trey Raitt and Jose Villalpando were arrested by police in Glendale, Arizona.

Both men went missing on March 2o from the Community Corrections Center-Omaha and removed their electronic monitoring devices near the facility.

Officials say Raitt was serving a sentence of up to 14 years for charges that include criminal mischief and assault in Lancaster County.

Villalpando was convicted of burglary in Cuming County and was serving a sentence of up to 15 years.  He had a parole hearing scheduled for last month.
