Two men found dead at home in south Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men were found dead inside a south Lincoln home Friday afternoon, police say.

Around noon, first responders were sent to a home near 7th Street and Old Cheney Road after a 35-year-old man found two of his roommates unresponsive in the garage.

When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old man dead, police say.

Capt. Todd Kocian said that the deaths appeared to be accidental.

Four additional residents of the home were then taken to a local hospital for “suspected carbon monoxide poisoning,” according to police.

An investigation is in its early stages, police said in a press release.

Criminal investigators are at the home collecting evidence and working to determine what happened, according to police.
