UPDATE: Man arrested in Monday afternoon homicide
Lincoln Police originally investigated the homicide Monday afternoon in the 2600 block of Vine Street just after 3 p.m.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police say they arrested 50-year-old Brian Adams for the homicide that happened Monday afternoon.
Police identified Adams as a suspect after they secured and investigated the scene of the crime.
Lincoln Police found Adams at a home in southwest Lincoln a few hours later and took him into custody without further incident.
Adams is currently being treated at a local hospital and will be lodged in jail once he is released.
Adams’ charges include one count of 2nd degree murder and one count of use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Lincoln Police say, Adams killed the 29-year-old victim with a large pole.
